About Tanner Foster.

Tanner was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, but moved with his family to Eagle, Idaho at a young age. Growing up in Idaho, he spent much of his time helping raise animals on the family farm, including showing pigs at the local fair. These experiences instilled in him a strong work ethic, patience, and a deep appreciation for responsibility.

A fourth-generation Idaho Vandal, Tanner always knew he would attend the University of Idaho. During his freshman year, he was selected to serve on a jury for a two-day trial. This experience sparked his interest in the legal profession and gave him a desire to become an attorney. He went on to earn his law degree from the University of Idaho College of Law in Boise.

After law school, Tanner and his then-girlfriend (now wife) relocated to North Idaho, an area he had long admired from childhood summer trips. Prior to joining Skullnah Legal Services, Tanner worked for a nonprofit legal organization that focused on Tribal Law and provided legal assistance to victims of domestic violence. It was there that he discovered his passion for Tribal Law and advocating for tribal members. Now, as an Associate Attorney with Skullnah Legal Services, Tanner is thrilled to serve the members of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe as well at the other Native tribes throughout the region.
